Ballet & Contemporary

BALLET
Both a discipline and an art form, Ballet stands in a class of its own. Ballet requires strength and patience because of its difficult technical elements. Taking years to develop, the body is set in various positions and poses which require flexibility in the back, legs, rib cage, and feet. Dedication to the study over an extended period of time will increase fluidity, grace, and technique. Ballet is a sound base for any style of dance.

Classes offered:

Ballet Level 1	Ages 6-8	Mondays	5:00 – 6:00pm
Ballet Level 1	Ages 9+	Fridays	7:00 – 8:00pm

Ballet Level 1/2	Ages 7-10	Tuesdays	5:00 – 6:00pm
Ballet Level 2	Ages 7-10	Thursdays	4:00 – 5:00pm	*No recital dance
Ballet Level 2	Ages 9+	Tuesdays	6:00 – 7:00pm

Ballet Level 2/3	Ages 10-12	Tuesdays	8:00 – 9:00pm
Ballet Level 2/3	Ages 10-12	Thursdays	6:00 – 7:00pm	*No recital dance

Ballet Level 3/4	Ages 12+	Mondays	7:00 – 8:15pm	*No recital dance

Modern/Contemporary is the focus not only of Colleges around the world, but also in many studios today. It is a connection between the strength of Ballet technique, the unique style of Modern dance, and the fluidity of Lyrical. The creative mind loves Modern because it is free to embrace a different perspective on dance.
